Deirdre Imus Sparks Kid-Powered Relief for Haiti
HACKENSACK, NJ, March 17, 2010 – Haitian children are receiving colorful bags filled with messages of love and goodies from U.S. school children through a new program of The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology® called Kids-Love-Kids.  This program is possible with the combined forces of Operation Goody Bag, the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), and an army of children from East Brook Middle School.

Learn About our National 'Greening Your Schools' Program -- and How You Can Start Greening Yours
Through our national "Greening Your Schools" program, The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center is helping  schools adopt more eco-friendly cleaning and maintenance practices. Students and all who work in the school benefit from improvements to indoor air, especially those who suffer from asthma or other respiratory problems. 
Common Cleaning Products May Do More Harm than Good

A recent study from researchers at the University of Michigan found that certain household cleaning products pose serious human health hazards.  Amid concerns about antibiotic resistance, the study found that widely-available household cleaners are key contributors. 

Planet Protectors Club Gears Up to ‘Green’ School -- and the World

Hackensack, N.J., March 12, 2008 – Eager to do their part to green the world, the Planet Protectors Club from Willard Elementary School in Ridgewood, N.J., enjoyed a special lesson last week on how to “green” their school and create a safer, non-toxic learning and home environment from Deirdre Imus, president and founder of The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology®.
