Shoppers Enjoy 'Dinner and a Show'
PARAMUS, NJ, June 12, 2009 -- There were no spats of any kind when radio talk show host Don Imus appeared with his wife, author, philanthropist and children's health advocate Deirdre Imus, at Fairway Market in Paramus last month. But lucky shoppers got more than groceries at lower prices.

Hundreds got a chance to meet the couple and add two specials to their carts: A free copy of the Imus Ranch Record, a CD collection of country hits, signed on the spot by the "I Man," and a personally autographed copy of Deirdre Imus' latest book in the New York Times best-selling Green This! series, The Essential Green You!, Easy Ways to Detox Your Diet, Your Body and Your Life.  The book includes the most up-to-date scientific research and motivates conscientious consumers to reduce their exposure to environmental toxins and to make realistic and affordable changes.

Shoppers also got a chance to buy the Imus' Greening the Cleaning® household cleaners on display at the checkout. Since sharing news of his prostate cancer with "Imus in the Morning" listeners earlier this year, Don has playfully referred to the ranch as "The Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with Cancer -- and me."  As a regular guest, Ms. Imus often talks about children's health issues ranging from indoor air to safer vaccines.  In response to on-air banter from Don, Deirdre has gently reported that Don can be "grumpy" especially around the house, perhaps not too shocking to listeners.  The show is broadcast nationally on WABC radio and RFD-TV.
