Deirdre Imus, Founder and President of The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology® at Hackensack University Medical Center, has dedicated her life to improving the lives of children. The World Health Organization estimates that the environment significantly affects more than 80 percent of major diseases, including childhood cancer, diabetes and asthma. More than a third of diseases in children under the age of five are caused by environmental exposures. Deirdre has devoted her life to identifying and eliminating these exposures.
